Widespread Panic - conch shell

Do you remember the first time you held a conch up to your ear? I was five and at a family reunion in Port Arthur, Texas. It felt like the entirety of the ocean went blasting by as I pressed the shell against my ear. It's that moment, that rush, that feeling when the hair stands up on my arm that I'm trying to recapture here with my art. There's a coral like shape in the background that is meant to mirror the foam patterns in the tide that washes ashore.
