Dave Matthews Band 4
I have this romanticized vision of Dave writing his lyrics on one of these aged typewriters. I associate these machines with a means of escape. Thoughts, feelings, dreams go into the machine and escape out into the world. I landed on the horse after discussing with DMB's mgmt their desire to include a point of reference to Dallas. Thinking of iconic images that I associate with the city the neon Pegasus standing atop the Magnolia Hotel comes to mind. Rather than directly replicating it I choose not to illustrate the wings and decided to have the horse flying out from the typewriter roll.
