Pearl Jam

This is one of the more ambitious images I've ever created and it actually includes my thoughts on the art with a one color screen on the backside of the print. When I began making prints full time in 2004 Pearl Jam represented the absolute pinnacle of gig posters and it's thrilling to finally make one for them after doing this 10+ years.

A message of Earth's vibrations resonates in Pearl Jam's music, giving way to the awe of the planet. My approach to the print is to create something grand in scale that would personify an intricate earth spirit resonating with the natural vibrations of the Earth. The surrealistic face is left shrouded in mystery with eyes hinting at her fragile temperament. Rippling ribbons and a covered mouth reference chaos theory (the butterfly effect), reminding us that even the smallest actions have a large impact on the planet. A glowing red orb represents Earth's core and the spiked ball reflects our disappearing ozone layer. Fire and ice eagles, surrounding the core at the north and the south, reflect a range of temperature and climate change. Wishing all of you a sensational evening of music while you enjoy all the signs around you.
