Sparkle Foil to 75 - PRIMUS - Tour Poster 2024

Ok, deep breaths. This was a big one. A few years back I mentioned to Primus's manager Jason that I'd like to do a take on the Sergeant Pepper cover for them but I really needed to wall off a full month to make the art work. These sort of timelines are a magical 'Christmas land' type of thing and really just don't happen in gig posters ever. The stars never aligned until I decided to take the leap. I was offered the gig of designing Primus's tour poster for 2024 but only given two weeks to do the art. A tour poster is a much bigger deal than a single gig poster and I decided that this was the moment. I would fully devote two very sweaty weeks during a Texas summer to make this thing come to life. It was absolutely a sprint to the finish line and every day of those two weeks looked like some Russell Crowe Beautiful Mind meme filled with dapper swine donning top hats, surreptitious glances from bow tied reptiles, debonair apes in corduroy vests and glossy eyed frogs staring deep into the void. The whole thing was a unforgettable trip and a personal highlight of my gigposter career.
