First pic is taken outdoors versus second pic taken indoors. There's a big dynamic shift in color with this one depending on where you view it.

It may sound strange but this image came to me in a dream. I saw a lone woman in a wind swept field and a single prairie house in the distance. The house eventually came into sharper focus and appeared to be in the style of a grand Victorian mansion. Her silhouette was hazy at first and I thought it might be Nastassja Kinski but as the clouds broke I saw Lana.

Early in the winter months of 2025 I watched Days of Heaven and Paris, Texas in the same evening. There's something about the warmth of those golden flowing wheat fields that felt right for a cold winter night. The following day I did errands around town while listening to Lana Del Rey and thinking about the imagery from the films I'd watched. Mostly I listened to tracks from Blue Banisters and Lust for Life. The cinematic universe she paints has stayed with me and resonates in a way that feels similar to old Hollywood films. The solitude in the track '13 Beaches' stood out to me. I think the lyrics refer to her search for a quiet private beach away from the world's distractions. I read about a specific experience where Del Rey had to search through thirteen different beaches to find one without paparazzi, reflecting a struggle for privacy in her public life. I think the pastoral lands in 'Days of Heaven' might be the escape she's looking for.

Also attached is a mood board of sorts featuring stills that inspired this piece.
