This is one of the few prints I've drawn that isn't set at night. It's meant to be a psychedelic summer dream looking out over the beaches in Virginia and seeing whales and hot air balloons in flight. The orange swirl in the background is meant to represent both the heat of the sun and that hazy liquid like feeling that we often see in our dream states. In some ways it feels indescribable after we awake. This is the way I remember it looking.
