FOIL to 55 - Dave Matthews Band - GORGE 2026
Am I the only one who thinks of Harry Henderson when referencing Sasquatch? Dave's art director suggested I render some kind of wood ape yeti as the central image for this one. I attached some early roughs I sent to him along with a variety of different head shapes and expressions. And I'll admit I was tempted to draw the Bigfoot looking eerily similar to Harry for awhile. Eventually, I found my way and liked the idea of song birds rousing the beast of the surrounding forests. He seems to tolerate their presence at the moment. There's something about him being slightly irked at one of the most majestic places on earth that makes me laugh. I still haven't been to a show at The Gorge but it's on my bucket list for sure.
